Part 1 of 4

In the field of health practices enlivened by the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic, the emergence of variants of the SarsCov-2 virus, the lack of sufficient vaccines and the uncontrolled infection in Brazil, the response to the pandemic has depended on the participation and production of researchers from various areas and the involvement of community leaders in the social response.

The objective of this international seminar, the second webinar in the series “The Brazilian Covid-19 epidemic is not just a viral event”, is to incorporate an international perspective in the effort to share the work of researchers who think about the Covid-19 epidemic by valuing the production of social and human sciences. The effort intends to deepen the interdisciplinary debate and influence intersectoral public policies, stimulating the effort of intersectoral cooperation between professionals, managers and scientists in the best tradition that seeks to strengthen the responses of our Unified Health System and different communities in their social response.
