Postdoc Opportunity at the University of Sao Paulo

The Department of Political Science at the University of Sao Paulo invites applications for a two-year postdoctoral fellowship for a project focused on “Mapping of Policies to Respond to COVID-19 in Brazil and the United States with attention to Vulnerable Populations.”

We are looking for a scholar with advanced quantitative methods training, experience with survey research, and substantive research interests in public opinion and policy analysis. Knowledge of global and public health politics, quantitative policy analysis and proficiency in English and Portuguese are required. The Fellow will work under the supervision of Professor Lorena Barberia.

The fellow will work in a collaborative setting with a multidisciplinary and international team of faculty and graduate students toward the production of jointly published scholarly research. There are no teaching or service obligations. Fellows receive a FAPESP postdoctoral scholarship, a research/travel budget, and a moving allowance (if moving from outside Sao Paulo state).

Qualifications

Candidates must have a Ph.D. and a strong background in quantitative public policy evaluation.
